PL - 'your' control, or FS nowadays?
target; 2.0.4 is past UI freeze
pl->er: as dicussed: the character taken is the first of the respactive dayname from the locale data. However in chinese these seem to be all equal. The correct solution would be to have an own entry in the locale data for this, however this would be a rather nontrivial task. i don't know whether some kind of interim solution is feasible ?
The character displayed is the Chinese glyph for "day", which is part of the full name, of which the method just takes the first character. A full solution would introduce a new locale data CalendarItem element such as OneCharacterName, including API change and so on. Would be nice to have anyway, since the Excel format codes allow such things as MMMMM or DDDDD for a one character abbreviation, if I recall correctly. However, an interim solution for Chinese locales could check the language and if FullName elements all start with the same character take the first character of the AbbrvName instead, which for Chinese is one character anyway. A bit ugly hack, but maybe worth it. Should be implemented in the CalendarWrapper to have it in one single location.
