Apache OpenOffice (AOO) Bugzilla – Issue 64726
officecfg: bn translations: Retain "english" menu keyboard shortcuts
Last modified: 2013-08-07 15:02:29 UTC
The keyboard shortcuts used in the Bengali menus should be keyboard combinations that can be created easily with a standard keyboard. So they probably shouldn't actually be translated e.g. officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI/localize.sdf if we examine "..GenericCommands.UserInterface.Popups..uno:WindowList", which is the toplevel menubar entry "Window" in English, then the indic and CJK translations of pa-IN, hi-IN, gu-IN zh-CN and zh-TW all translate "Window" into their language, but retain (~W) as the untranslated shortcut. bn translations should follow the same pattern as the other Indic/CJK translations above.
Created attachment 36775 [details] perhaps helpful sdf that I'm using to workaround this problem
I wonder if the bn project knows about this, maybe they are unaware of issuezilla.
sigh, actually getting translators for a project to try and fix a translation is a near impossible task. Maybe I'm doing this all wrong.
Created attachment 50963 [details] newly updated
fixing up the bengali short-cuts
Can I get an ack or nack that this .sdf to fix the problem is assigned to the right right person and place ?
Is this assigned to the right person and the right place ? Does anyone know ?
No reply to http://bn.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=ooo-bn-trans&msgNo=270 since 2 weeks. -> changing component to bn despite the fact that the bn component contains only the www subcomponent
-> reassigning to the default subcomponent owner
this issue is from 2006 ... Lets simply add this into the OOo 3.0 cmc, your fix is OOo 3.0 final "compatible" ? vg -> OOo 3.0 l10n cws
.
set target OOo 3.0
As updated Bengali translations will be uploaded to the Pootle server and the final SDF will be generated from there, I think we can fix the shortcuts then.
fixed in the CWS localisation29, please verify
yippee, seen in localisation29
