Description caolanm 2006-04-25 09:08:00 UTC
The keyboard shortcuts used in the Bengali menus should be keyboard combinations
that can be created easily with a standard keyboard. So they probably shouldn't
actually be translated

e.g. officecfg/registry/data/org/openoffice/Office/UI/localize.sdf if we examine
"..GenericCommands.UserInterface.Popups..uno:WindowList", which is the toplevel
menubar entry "Window" in English, then the indic and CJK translations of pa-IN,
hi-IN, gu-IN zh-CN and zh-TW all translate "Window" into their language, but
retain (~W) as the untranslated shortcut.

bn translations should follow the same pattern as the other Indic/CJK
translations above.

I wonder if the bn project knows about this, maybe they are unaware of issuezilla.
Comment 3 caolanm 2007-08-15 10:21:30 UTC
sigh, actually getting translators for a project to try and fix a translation is
a near impossible task. Maybe I'm doing this all wrong.

Comment 6 caolanm 2008-03-26 18:08:16 UTC
Can I get an ack or nack that this .sdf to fix the problem is assigned to the
right right person and place ?
Comment 7 caolanm 2008-04-22 12:27:11 UTC
Is this assigned to the right person and the right place ? Does anyone know ?

No reply to
http://bn.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=ooo-bn-trans&msgNo=270 since 2 weeks.

-> changing component to bn despite the fact that the bn component contains only
the www subcomponent
Comment 9 petr.dudacek 2008-06-24 16:15:35 UTC
-> reassigning to the default subcomponent owner
Comment 10 ivo.hinkelmann 2008-06-24 17:14:07 UTC
this issue is from 2006 ... Lets simply add this into the OOo 3.0

cmc, your fix is OOo 3.0 final "compatible" ?

Comment 12 ivo.hinkelmann 2008-06-24 17:16:24 UTC
set target OOo 3.0
Comment 13 jamil 2008-06-25 06:28:19 UTC
As updated Bengali translations will be uploaded to the Pootle server and the
final SDF will be generated from there, I think we can fix the shortcuts then.
Comment 14 vg 2008-07-15 15:25:16 UTC
